Ah, I'm not so familiar with Japanese authors but I did read some Japanese literature (both fiction and nonfiction), and yes they are indeed refreshing and have this kind of unique style in writing and perspective. I'll try to look up some more Japanese authors since I am interested in Japanese culture myself, maybe you can name some of your favorite fictions? :)

Anyway, thanks heaps for your recommendations!
